Factors that Affect Learning and Learning Style

A person's learning style is made up of a number of different factors. The Dunn and Dunn model is perhaps the most widely used model for describing these factors. They include environmental factors, emotional factors, sociological factors, and physiological factors. The game below is to help me, and anyone else who'd like to use it, in remembering these factors and what is considered in each grouping.

I'm so glad that I realize the importance of fun in teaching and learning. In the same way that adults hate dread things like monotone meetings, so to must children cringe at the thought of a lecture. I know that some people, such as myself, are considered auditory learners. to people like this, a lecture on a topic of interest is almost always welcomed. But most people are NOT auditory learners.
