Shannon Leaf

How surprised was I when I came across a character of the comic strip called "For Better or for Worse," who has special needs? Shannon Leaf is the name of the incredible young lady who was born with some easily observable differences. But despite these differences, she's amazing, witty, and quite simply delightful.

From what I've read so far, my favorite episode has to be Shannon's Speech where she takes a stand before realizing that her special differences might have a purpose: making a difference in the lives of others. Definitely check her out!
